THE DREAMERS - This is a project of John Zorn, he composes the music for this, but doesn't actually play in it. It's got Cyro Baptista on percussion, Joey Baron on drums, Trevor Dunn on bass, Marc Ribot on guitar, Jamie Saft on piano and organ, and Kenny Wollesen on vibraphone. I had the pleasure of seeing this album performed in NYC, and boy, it was amazing (I really wish this studio album was just as great, but sadly, it isn't. Still great though.). Upbeat jazzy tones meander and morph into something that isn't quite jazz, but isn't not jazz. Listen for yourself, relaxing and fulfilling.
